Privacy Policy
Toptan Studio is built so your media files stay on your computer. This policy explains what we collect on the website, why, and how to contact us.
1. Who we are
Toptan Studio (“we”, “us”) operates toptan.studio and related early-access communications. For privacy questions, email hello@toptan.studio.
2. Core product principle
When you use Toptan Studio tools (once available):
- Your photos, video, and audio are processed locally on your device.
- Outputs are saved locally on your device.
- We do not receive, store, or train on your media files as part of normal tool use.
This architecture is intentional: privacy by design, not only by policy.
3. What we collect on this website
Early access / waitlist
If you submit the early access form, we collect your email address. We use it to:
- Confirm you joined early access
- Email you when the first tool (Upscale) ships
- Send related product updates or founding offers
Emails are stored with our email provider (currently Resend) in an audience/contact list we manage.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage (for example page views and events such as waitlist signup). GA4 may set cookies or use similar identifiers depending on your browser settings. We do not use analytics to identify your media files.
Technical logs
Our hosting and email providers may automatically process standard technical data (such as IP address, user agent, and request timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.
4. What we do not collect
- We do not ask for or receive your media files through this website.
5. Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies)
- Consent — when you join early access
- Legitimate interests — operating, securing, and improving the website (including limited analytics)
- Contract / pre-contract steps — communicating about early access you requested
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site and email:
- Resend — email delivery and waitlist audience storage
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- Cloudflare — hosting and security
7. Retention
- Waitlist emails — kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we close the early-access list after launch communications are complete
- Analytics — retained according to our GA4 configuration and Google’s product settings
8. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from early-access emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails (when provided) or by emailing hello@toptan.studio.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact hello@toptan.studio.
9. Children
This website and early access are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the product and website evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
